For this week’s Beer Video of the Week, we take a brief look back at a post Miles did a few weeks back about BrewDog’s End of History beer. It’s a 50% ABV beer that is sold in a dead squirrel. Yes, dead squirrels and beer: the combination of the year. Check out the video below and see why BrewDog still makes the best beer-related videos on the Internets. (Slightly NSFW, so be careful, late Friday workers.)
Hope everyone out in Montana has a great time at the Montana Brewers Festival, and that everyone else in D.C. finds some great beer this weekend. As for me, I will be hoping Michigan can pull off a great win versus Notre Dame this weekend. Dogfish Head Bitches Brew goes well with the sound of Irish people crying, right? Have a good weekend, everyone. Cheers.
Its Friday again, and that means another Beer Video of the Week! This week, in honor of the Super Bowl and their awesome commercials, we are showing off one of our favorite old commercials that you could certainly air again!
As previously mentioned, we’ll be live all night from The Twitter at the Cool Dog Ball in Helena. Something I’ve yet to mention, though, is that on Monday, I will be moving to Washington, D.C. to take a new job there. I’m certainly going to continue writing for the blog from D.C., though it may take me a few weeks to get back to my regular reviewing and sharing of news articles because, well, I don’t have a place to live yet, and that’s slightly more important than drinking great, new beers (read: it’s really a toss-up). But what I really wanted to do was to offer an enormous thank you to everyone in Montana that I’ve met already through doing this blog. From Jason at Bitter Root Brewing who hooked us up with some delicious beer at the MBA Oktoberfest in Bozeman, to Topper from Topper’s Cellar in Helena for his generosity and helpfulness in keeping Helena’s best beer market available to us, to all the people I’ve met at the breweries across the state, and to all the Montana readers who log on everyday to read my long-winded reviews of stouts and porters and the ridiculous news stories we’re able to unearth everyday. So, thanks, everyone. This has been a wonderful experience over the past seven months, and I will certainly miss having access to the wonderful Montana micros while I’m in D.C. But more than anything else, I’ll miss all you wonderful Montanans for treating us so well. You really are great people.
Today’s Beer Video of the Week comes from last year’s Extreme Beer Festival. I certainly suggest that you find a way to land in Boston here in a few weeks and attend this year’s fest. But, it’s sold out, so you might need to do some bribing.
So cheers to new adventures and a whole new world of beer over on the East Coast. Miles and Steffen will still be bringing you the best in Montana beer coverage and will be picking up the slack while I’m M.I.A. I’ll see you guys at the Cool Dog tonight, and I’ll talk to you more when I establish a home in D.C. Cheers, all!
I didn’t get a real chance in when I visited Michigan to delve into Jolly Pumpkin beers, but for anyone looking to branch out into a different type of beer style, I highly recommend finding some Jolly Pumpkin stuff. Their sour ales are adventurous, and not something you’ll find anywhere else. Plus, a lot of people clearly like them.
That brings us to the Beer Video of the Week. Happy weekend, everyone. Enjoy.
A new feature here at BarBEERians. Every Friday, we’ll let you kick back and relax to wind down the week with our Beer Video of the Week (BVotW). This week’s video comes from Slate V. Have a good weekend, everyone. Cheers.
