Zhora, a beer-guzzling chain-smoking, chimpanzee from Russia is entering rehab. Formerly a circus performer, the chimp which is currently held at a zoo is Rostov has apparently started harassing zoo-goers for their beers!

According to reports, Zhora’s drinking has gotten so out-of-hand, he has resorted to begging for alcohol. Nobody really knows why the chimp started drinking and smoking. Officials say he started hitting the bottle as soon as he arrived at a zoo in Rostov. Some say Zhora likely picked  up his love for booze and cigarettes sometime during his performance career.

Aside from his drunken romps, Zhora became popular with the ladies. After arriving at the zoo, the chimp fathered several baby chimps.

What can we all learn from this? Not only are you not supposed to feed the animals, you should give them booze or nicotine either. Also, having a bad ass image is apparently as  sexy for apes as it is for humans.
