BrewDog Reclaims the Strongest Beer Title
Two short weeks ago, I posted about Schorschbraeu Brewery‘s 40% ABV brew, that was then the strongest in the world. Over at BrewDog in Scotland, their Sink the Bismarck! quadruple IPA (41% ABV) just retook the title (they used to have it with their 32% ABV Tactical Nuclear Penguin). BrewDog, anticipating government criticism, already released a statement emphasizing the importance of enjoying beer responsibly and treating Sink the Bismarck! like a fine spirit.
It is important that you be careful with this beer and show it the same amount of sceptical, tentative respect you would show an international chess superstar, clown or gypsy. -James Watt, Managing Director of BrewDog
